Doris Eugena Naeter was born on January 25, 1937, in Gainesville, TX to Mabel April Strickland and Trammel C Strickland. She grew up with her brothers (Odis & Troy) and a sister (Virginia). She graduated from Callisburg High School. She was married to Dee Edwin Banks and had two children Debra Eugenia and Gregory Lynn. She worked as a dental assistant for many years then later became a broker.
On April 5, 1973, she married George Naeter they were married for 50 years. They fell in love at first sight and were married 4 weeks after meeting. They traveled together and were each other’s help mates.
Doris loved to entertain and was a great hostess. She was an amazing cook. She was the life of the party and could make you laugh with her funny skits. She was also a wonderful artist; she was very talented. Some of you may have some of her works of art in your home today.
Doris loved her family, and she prayed for her family. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Church was very important to Doris. She attended Urban Park Assembly of God for many years then joined Christian Center of Mesquite to be with her family. She was a prayer warrior and would always go down and pray with those at the altar.
She is preceded in death by her parents Mabel & Trammel, her brothers Odis and Troy, and her sister Virgina. Her husband George and her son Greg.
Doris is survived by her daughter Debra, grandchildren Kristina (husband David), Leah (husband Grant), Christopher (wife Carmen) and great grandchildren Keagan, Jayden, Taylor, Scarlett, Kendal & Memphis along with many nieces and nephews.
