Donald Ray Rogers, 64, of East Tawakoni, passed from this life on Tuesday, March 11, 2025. A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at Hope of Glory Worship Center at 953 E. State Hwy. 276 in West Tawakoni at 1:00 p.m. with Keith Goodson officiating.
Donald was born on August 9, 1960, in Breckenridge, Texas to Peggy Ruth (Hogue) and William Arthur Rogers. He was raised in Mesquite, Texas
and attended Mesquite schools. Donald worked many years in the oilfield before becoming a house
painter for 10 years. His last years of working were spent on landscaping and odd jobs before becoming disabled.
Donald is survived by his wife of 34 years, Ginger Rogers; a son, Donald Rogers, Jr. and wife Adrienne of Coleman, Texas; a daughter Lindey Lowther and husband Chris of Jacksboro, Texas; a brother, Jimmy Echols of Carthage, Texas; a sister, Lisa Street and husband Jerry of Albany, Texas; a brother-in-love, Mario Gonzales of Mesquite, Texas. nine grandchildren, Cameron, Aaron, Kennedy, Christopher, Grayson, Brandon, Nadine, Dylan, Violet; nieces; nephews and friends.
Donald is preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Suzanne Gonzales and Tammy Echols; and two brothers, Garry Rogers and Bobby Rogers.
