DeWayne Ivan Goodgion, born November 13, 1961, went to be with the Lord on December 3, 2024, at 63 years old after a long battle with lung cancer. DeWayne loved fishing and golfing and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. DeWayne graduated from Lakeview Centennial High School in Garland, TX in 1981. He then served in the US army from 1981-1984 serving in the 13th U.S. Army Field Artillery Detachment in Killinghusen, Germany with a small period following in the Army Reserve. He graduated with his Associates Degree in General Studies from Colorado Technical University in 2015. He was a proud member of the First Baptist Church of Quinlan and was very devoted to his faith.
DeWayne was proceeded in death by his father Ivan Ross Goodgion, son Brice DeWayne Goodgion, and his granddaughter Luna Paige Olson.
Those left to celebrate his life are his mother Dianna Conger, and husband John, of Waxahachie, TX, Sister Maria Kelso, and husband Kyle, of Irving, TX, Son Jeremy Goodgion, and wife Britanie, of Elmo, TX, daughter Melanie Elledge, and husband Leonard, of Poetry, TX, daughter Laurel Goodgion of Quinlan, TX, and daughter Ashlie Silver, and husband Clark, of Marryville, TN, grandchildren; Rily, Thalon, Madilyn, Bricelyn, Kade, Londyn, Aspyn, Madison and Lawrence as well as a whole host of extended family and friends who will miss him dearly.
