Deborah Walker, age 65, of Sulphur Springs passed away on June 29, 2020 at her home. A celebration of her life will be held at 10:00 A. M Saturday, July 11, 2020 at North Jefferson Church of Christ in Mount Pleasant with Kris Groda officiating.
Deborah Kay Ward Walker was born September 14, 1954 in Memphis, Tennesee to the late James and Ileta Sifford Ward. She was raised and attended school in Sulphur Springs. She married Rex Walker on October 30, 1973. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Carrie Walker on February 19, 2002 and brother, Mike Ward. She was a member of the North Jefferson Church of Christ in Mount Pleasant. Her hobbies included gardening and sewing. She was a talented painter and enjoyed painting restoration. She will be remembered as a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother and the rock of her family.
She is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Rex Walker of Sulphur Springs; Son, Chris Walker and wife Allie of Sulphur Springs; Daughter, Tesha Walker and wife Doreen Jennings of Sulphur Springs; Brother, Barry Ward of Greenville; Sister, Pam Nordin and Robert Sires of Sulphur Springs; Grandchildren, Collin Walker, Kobie Walker, Autumn Jennings, and ‘soon to be’ granddaughter, Deirdre Walker. Great Grandchildren, Colton Crump, Caedyn Crump, Caison Darlin, Colbie Walker, and Keeley Cave.
