David Davis Obituary

David “Dave” Carlyle Davis, 79, of Greenville passed away on June 12, 2022. He was born on January 19, 1943, in Long Beach, CA, to Lloyd Elwin and Myrtle Elizabeth Davis.

Dave was married to the love of his life, Darlene for 39 years, then worked as a General Sales Manager at Young Chevrolet Automotive Dealership for over 30 years. He loved NASCAR racing, also enjoyed boating, model building, painting and had the pleasure of traveling to many countries. Dave was known as a man who loved his Crown Royal. He was a member of SCCA, Sports Car Club of America.

Dave is survived by his loving wife Darlene Davis of Greenville, son, Brett Davis of Huntington Beach, CA; daughters: Tamara Ferrell of Lavon, TX; Jennifer Moore and Jon of Mission Viejo, CA; Carrie and Matt Sharp of Greenville; grandchildren: Jason Lunsford, Hanna Davis, Deven Davis, Sean Ferrell, Megan Ferrell, Audrey Moore, Cooper Moore, Alex Sharp, Katelyn Sharp, Cody Sharp; great-grandchildren: Audrie Lunsford, Mackenzie Sharp, and Katie Sharp.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
