Sgt. David Lynn Biggerstaff, age 64, passed away at his home in Wills Point, Texas on Thursday, August 3rd, 2023. A celebration of his life service will be held on Thursday August 10th from 5 PM to 7 PM at Ingram Funeral Home in Quinlan, Texas.

David was born on Saturday, May 30, 1959, in Landstuhl, Germany, to the late James Donovan Biggerstaff and Elizabeth Ann Witt Biggerstaff. He was raised in the Dallas area where he graduated from South Garland High School and played football. Following graduation, David made the selfless decision to join the United States Marine Corps where he served his country for six years. During his time in the USMC, he earned several medals and continued his education by completing several education programs. He loved being a Marine and was extremely proud of being an American. He was a regular at the VFW Post 2559 in West Tawakoni. He met the love of his life, Angela Smith, and they married on Thursday, August 3rd, 1996, in Dallas, Texas before spending 27 beautiful years together. David loved riding motorcycles and was an avid Harley Davidson fan. He also loved fishing, traveling, and enjoyed cooking his famous BBQ for friends and family. He was blessed with natural skills in almost everything and quickly became a master of all he did.  David was a rescuer of people that needed a caring hand or a shoulder to lean on. David was a selfless, trustworthy man of his word and had the gift of gab. He loved and was loved very hard, and his caring heart will forever leave a mark on everyone that knew him.

David is survived by his mother, Elizabeth Ann Biggerstaff; his loving wife Angela Biggerstaff of Wills Point; sons: David Eugene Biggerstaff of Bloomfield, Indiana, and Andrew Biggerstaff and wife Lindsie of Minnesota; brothers: James Alan Biggerstaff and wife Shelia of Pea Ridge, AR, Michael Irwin Biggerstaff and wife Diana of Norman, OK, and John Robert Biggerstaff and wife Maria of Jacksonville, FL; grandchildren: Cooper, Ivy, Deniece, and Ava Biggerstaff; nephews, Shayne Smith, Randy Smith, Andy Smith, Beau Biggerstaff, Jeffery Biggerstaff, James Biggerstaff, Juan Biggerstaff; nieces; Holli Biggerstaff, Kristal McKown, Sherry Dempsey, Brandy Kelly and Stephanie Biggerstaff; great nieces; Gracie Smith, Rylee McKown, Hailee Biggerstaff, Emilee Bell, Bailee Gurley, Katelyn Dempsey, Adre McMillin, Josie Robertson, Jaslyin Robertson; great nephews; Jaxon McKown, Landen McMillin, Johnathan Robertson, Logan Biggerstaff, Arthur Biggerstaff and great-great nieces; Dallas Gurley and Denver Gurley.
