Charlotte Berry Obituary

Charlotte Ann Berry, age 73, of Quinlan, passed away Monday, July 26, 2021, at her home. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday at Ingram Funeral Home with Pastor Robert Cruthird officiating. Burial will follow in Able Springs Cemetery. 

  

Pallbearers for Mrs. Berry will be Paul White, Nick White, James Tucker, Robert Berry, Johnny Berry III, and James Mulanax. 

  

Charlotte Berry was born on January 30, 1948, in Kaufman, Texas to the late Mr. Ira Herman Smith and Florence Earnestine Chamblee Smith. She married Johnny Berry Sr. on March 6, 1970. They were married 37 years. She married Mr. Morris Allen Dye on January 30, 2011. Charlotte was an avid horror fan. She enjoyed reading, especially Stephen King books and watching vampire movies. She also enjoyed sewing and handmade Easter dresses for her daughters when they were children. She also collected angels and enjoyed playing computer games. She was a master at Candy Crush. She was also an incredibly talented cook and was known for the huge meals she prepared for family and friends with fresh vegetables she grew in her garden. 

 

She will be remembered for her huge heart and her selfless nature. Whether clothing or food, Charlotte always went without so her children and grandchildren could have what they needed. She was very giving and always put others first. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Johnny Berry Sr; brother, Dewayne Smith; sister, Lynn Askins; and grandson, Michael Thompson Berry. 

  

She is greatly loved and will be missed by her husband, Morris Allen Dye of Quinlan; son, Johnny Berry Jr. and wife Rachel of Quinlan; daughters, Tammy White of Quinlan, Cynthia Berry of Quinlan and Lisa Simons and husband J.R. of Quinlan; sister, Donna Mueller of Gun Barrell City; grandchildren, Kandis White, Amanda Stringer, Paul White Jr., Nicholas White, Daniel Tucker, James Tucker, Johnny Berry III, Robert Berry, Angel Mulanax, Olivia Berry, Samantha Berry, Emily Berry, Brianna Farnsworth, Shelby Simons, and Sidney Simons; 6 great grandchildren and close friend Debbie Lewis of Quinlan.
