Carolyn Strickland

Carolyn Lou Wolfe Strickland, born September 26, 1936, in Quinlan, TX, passed away on January 5, 2025, at Greenville Health & Rehab in Greenville, TX. She was the daughter of Mildred Wolfe and James Otho Wolfe.

Carolyn retired from Raytheon E-Systems after 26 dedicated years. She was deeply involved in her community, serving as a long-time council person on the Quinlan City Council, a member of the Quinlan Planning and Zoning Committee, and she was on the IOOF Cemetery Board.

On December 5, 1984, she married Morris Eugene "Gene" Strickland, who preceded her in death. Carolyn was also preceded by her son, Stephen Dan Lilly, daughter-in-law, Linda Mexia Lilly, and her brother, Thomas Franklin "Frank" Wolfe.

She is survived by her grandson, Jacob Daniel Lilly and wife Amy of Trophy Club, TX; great-grandchildren Raelan, Kace, and Kolt Lilly; her brother, Dan Otho Wolfe of Wichita Falls, TX; niece Cathy Wolfe Green of Frisco; nephew Clif Wolfe of Lone Oak; and her best friend, Carole Petty of Quinlan.

A celebration of life service will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at the First United Methodist Church in Quinlan.
