Carol Jean Bagwell, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 19, 2026, in Greenville, Texas. Born on January 4, 1949, in Ennis, Texas, Carol dedicated her life to caring for others, working as a home health nurse from 2018 to 2020 and having spent many years at ICT. She found joy in her work and nurtured countless lives with her warmth and compassion.
A passionate Dallas Cowboys fan, Carol's spirit was as vibrant as her interests. She had a special fondness for collecting Betty Boop memorabilia and loved all things roosters, which brought a unique charm to her home. Her fun-loving nature extended to her grandchildren, whom she adored, often letting them experiment with makeup on her. Carol had an infectious love for life, whether she was enjoying a round of golf on television, taking a trip to the casino to play slots, or cooking her famous Thanksgiving dinner that brought everyone together.
Carol's heart was filled with joy from her family. She leaves behind her son Michael Roberts, daughter-in-law Nikki Roberts, sister Mary Rohmer, brother-in-law Jimmy Rohmer, and eight cherished grandchildren: Miranda, Payton, Holly, Stormy, Riley, Jayden, Jace, and Landon. She also adored her great-grandchildren: Liza, Luka, Cinco, Malachai, EverLeigh, and Addison, each of whom brought her immense joy. She is also survived by her best friend, Jamie Gale, and her beloved canine companion Chloe.
In her leisure time, Carol loved to be outdoors, soaking up the sun and enjoying simple pleasures like crunching ice. She was always ready to listen to one of her favorite singers, Jelly Roll, or start her latest binge of "The Voice." Carol's vibrant personality and love for life will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her legacy will live on through her family and friends, who carry forward the joy and love she infused into their lives.
In celebration of Carol's life, a gathering of friends and family will take place on Friday, April 3rd, 11 AM at Ingram Funeral Home to honor her memory and the beautiful impact she had on all of us.
Carol was preceded in death by: John "Bubba" Bagwell, John Lewis, Etta Logsdon, Larry Lewis and Kevin Roberts.
