Capitan Don Rogers Beeler Jr. age 81, of E. Tawakoni, Texas completed his mission here on earth on Saturday October 7, 2023, in Bonham Texas. A Memorial will be held at Ingram Funeral Home on Friday October 20, 2023, at 1:00 pm.
Don was born on Monday July 20, 1942, in Dallas to Don Rogers Beeler Sr. and Billie Pauline Cofer and raised in Irving Texas. He attended Irving High School, East Texas Baptist University and Pepperdine University and has a master’s in chemistry and Algebra. In 1968 he joined the in the U.S. Marine Corp and became a Capitan and a pilot and severed proudly till December 1, 1973. On Monday October 2, 1978, he married the love of his life Janis in Denton Texas. He worked as a general contractor and became a teacher of algebra at Mountain View College. Don was a hunter, and he loved to chat, and enjoyed being a tutor. He loved his dogs Rosie and Mikey so much that he cooked for them and spoiled them. He was a member of St. Joseph’s Episcopal Church in Grand Prairie, he would talk to anyone and everyone about Jesus, the one he loved so dear.
Survived by, his loving wife Janis, sons, Curtis Jordan and wife Darcy of Colony, Cameron Beeler and wife Kimberly of CA, Jon Beeler and wife Danielle of CA, daughter Kelly Thornton and husband Brett of East Tawakoni, brother Paul Beeler and wife Janet of Plano, grandchildren, Angela Henson and husband Taylor, Tyler, Jordan, Travis Jordan, Shiloh Beeler, Vanessa Beeler, Analiese Beeler, Reuben Beeler, Dalton Beeler, Wyatt Beeler, great grandchildren, Ella Henson, Cullen Henson and many extended family and friends.
Today we honor a man that gave his entire life to his family, friends, and nation.
