Brenda Nell Cobb Schwartz, age 73, of Greenville, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, June 18, 2022. Funeral Services celebrating her life will be held on Thursday, June 23, 2022, at 3:00P.M. at Ingram Funeral Home in Quinlan. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
Brenda was born on September 4, 1948, in Goldthwaite, Texas. She was the daughter of the late Mr. Frank Cobb and Nina Beth Robertson Cobb. Brenda was 16 years old when she was literally ‘knocked off her feet’ at the Goldthwaite Skating Rink by a handsome young man that would become her future husband. She married Edward Ray Schwartz in 1965 in Goldthwaite. They moved to Stephenville during Edwards college years and then to Houston for a teaching position. They moved to Rockwall in 1984, divorced in 1995 but remained dear friends until her death. She was an Avon representative for 25 years but enjoyed buying more than selling products. Brenda loved soap operas and each Sunday was spent recording the Top Country Countdown on her cassette player and waiting her favorite song, ‘Delta Dawn’ to play on the radio. Brenda loved to crochet and made blankets, rugs, and barbie clothes. Most of all, Brenda loved her Jesus and knew where she would be when she left this earth. She enjoyed rocking in a rocking chair and singing children’s hymns to her grandkids. She will be remembered as a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and servant of the Lord. She adored spoiling her grandchildren with trips to Walmart for Hershey's bars or thrift stores to find treasures. She loved Dr. Pepper, and Watermelon.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her son, David Ray Schwartz in June of, 2009; great-grandson, Adam Michael Ray Schwartz in August of 2006 and her baby bunny, Summer.
She is greatly loved and will be dearly missed by her daughter, Regina Schwartz, and husband Gary Keeton of Quinlan; brother, Randy Cobb, and wife Cindy of Goldthwaite; sister, Donna McGinty of Kingsland; grandchildren, Michael Schwartz of Emory, Dwayne Schwartz of Royse City and Karen Owens and husband Anthony of Greenville; great grandchildren, Keeton Schwartz, Autumn Schwartz, Carter Owens, and Kenadi Ann Elizabeth.
