Brenda Rizzutto, age 71, of Garland, passed away at her home on Saturday, June 1, 2024. A celebration of life will be held at 10:00am on Friday, June 7, 2024, at Ingram Funeral Home in Quinlan.
Brenda Joyce Ward Rizzutto was born on Monday, August 4, 1952, in Midland to Mr. Billy Charles Ward and Helen Joyce Morgan Ward. She was raised in Midland and married Roy Rizzutto on April 10, 2002, in Rockwall, Texas. She was a devoted housewife, loving mother, and fun grandma. She served as babysitter and taxi driver but always enjoyed taking care of her grandkids, great grandkids, and dogs. She was an incredible cook and baker. She was a bold spitfire with a no-nonsense attitude. Brenda collected frogs and garage sales would become a family event under her watch. Brenda loved being scared. She enjoyed going to haunted houses and was an avid horror movie fan; her favorite being the horror classic, Night of the Living Dead. She also loved old classic rock and roll music. Brenda had a compassion for animals and always had room for 'one more stray' to love. She will be remembered as a sassy old hippy that loved watching sunsets.
She is dearly loved and will be greatly missed by her husband Roy Rizzutto of Garland; daughters, Lisa Coker and husband Ronald of Greenville; Sandra Roth of Quinlan; Jeannie Clark and husband Jeromy of Nevada; brothers, Joseph Ward, David Ward, and Larry Ward. Sister, Deborah Ellison; grandchildren, Markus Ator of Greenville; Stephanie Alvarado and husband Brandon of Greenville; Ronald Coker and wife Cortney of Greenville; Stephen Roth of Quinlan; Brittney Sissel and husband Travis of Royse City; David Sikes and wife Hollie of Fate and Sara Sikes of Garland; great grandchildren, Landon, Abby, Raelynn, Madison, Kacen, Korbin, and Jameson; her K9 kids, Daisy and Molly of Garland.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers; Billy Doyle Ward, William Richard (Ricky) Ward, and Michael Ward; grandson, Michael "Kyle" Sikes and K9 kids, BeBe and Carmel.
In lieu of flowers and to honor Brenda's passion for stray animals, donations can be made to your local animal shelter or rescue group.
