Bobby Gray Obituary

Bobby Harold Gray, age 79, of Quinlan, Texas, passed away on June 17, 2026. He was born on October 22,1946, in Hunt County, Texas, to Lorene Frances and Ralph Eugene Gray.

Bobby grew up in Caddo Mills, TX on various farms and learned the value of hard work at an early age. Alongside his nine siblings, he helped care for the animals and worked in the fields planting and growing the crops. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and learning to operate and repair various farm equipment.

Bobby graduated from Caddo Mills High School in 1965 and proudly served his country as a gunner in the armored tank division of the United States Army from 1966 to 1968.    Throughout his life, Bobby worked in a variety of jobs, but he was best known for his work as a farmer and mechanic.

Bobby was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Wanda Ladwein and Linda Alexander; and his life partner, Fannie Mae Nichols.

He is survived by his brothers: Donald Gray, Charles (Brenda) Gray, David (Letha) Gray and Michael (Deborah) Gray and sisters: Patricia Roberts, Theresa (Robert) Ramsey and Judy Ratterree; many nieces and nephews and devoted friends Mike and Leah Holt.

Funeral service with Military honors will be held on July 3, 2026, at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to organizations that support veterans.
