Allan Scully Obituary

Allan was born on June 3rd, 1963, in Dallas, Texas at the old St. Paul hospital. Growing up in Dallas and Sunland-Tujunga , Big Al enjoyed bicycling and skateboarding with his buddies, skipping school & taking joyrides across the west coast :) Coming up, he was a fleet of foot outfielder for the Mt. Gleason baseball club in California and a formidable, scary defensive end for the Brewer Bears here in Texas.

Allan was the definition of integrity and grit. When momma facetiously supported Al's vision of riding Harleys at the age of 6, she had no idea that the man would be riding a Fat Bob at 16, get courted (and respectfully decline) some of the more well known MCs in the land, and fly his I RODE MINE bottom rocker to the Black Hills over, and over again. When finding out that color blindness would "limit" him, Al went ahead and managed respectable paint and body shops, and even painted Lori Johns' Jolly Rancher dragster. If Big Al believed it, you were not going to stop him. He loved God and family and spent the last years of his life sharing that integrity and grit with them, making water thicker than blood. He read his bible daily and when the other books are opened, the name "Allan Parker Scully Jr." will be there. Possibly "Big Al" :)

Allan is preceded in death by two men that he respected and called dad, Billy Jones & Harry Kelly. Allan is also preceded in death by his beautiful sister Sharon Scully. Survivors include his mother Sue Jones, daughters Gypsie Gessman and Kelsey Gessman, grandsons DaShawn Bloodsoe and Krashawn Harris, granddaughters Hadassah Gessman, Shakania Harris, Patience Gessman, Aubree Mallery, and Kinsley Mallery, great-grandsons Markadim and Damian, sisters Theresa and Suzanne, brother David, and many more that loved and considered him family.
