Allan Cadis Obituary

Allan Gallaher Cadis, born on April 3, 1948, in Graham, Texas, peacefully passed away on September 14, 2025, in Quinlan, Texas, at the age of 77. He is survived by his devoted wife of 30 years, Karen Cadis; his loving sister, Cheryl Williamson; and his cherished daughter, Christilyn Cadis. Allan's legacy will continue to resonate with all those who had the privilege of knowing him. Many in the community simply knew him as " The Dog Man". Allan was preceded in death by his loving parents Alfred and Mary Gallaher Cadis.

Allan dedicated his life to the welfare of both people and animals, serving as a beacon of hope for underdogs of all kinds. His passion for animal rescue manifested in 2003 when he founded Texas Best Choices, a nonprofit organization born from his lifelong love for homeless and hungry animals. This calling was rooted in the compassion he displayed as a young boy, often bringing lost or injured animals home to his mother, who nurtured his caring spirit. Through his tireless efforts, Allan provided a safe haven for thousands of animals, embodying the very essence of a true rescuer.

In addition to his commitment to animal rescue, Allan was an avid wildlife conservationist and an outdoor enthusiast. He found joy in the beauty of nature and dedicated much of his time to preserving it for future generations. His selfless spirit and unwavering support for both two-legged and four-legged beings made a significant impact in his community.

We invite all who knew and loved him to join us in commemorating his legacy of compassion and service on October 25,2025 from 2:00 to 5:00 P.M. Gathering will be outdoor at 9016 CR 3609 Quinlan TX. 75474 where Allan was happiest.

Gifts in lieu of flowers can be made to his beloved animal rescue, Texas Best Choices Animal Rescue. You may find the Donate button at www.tbcanimalrescue.com or contact Karen Cadis.
