William Glenn Cotton

William Glenn Cotton, 61, of Quinlan went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 in Quinlan. Funeral service’s celebrating William’s life will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at Ingram Funeral Home with Pastor Shannon Salsman officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service.

William was born on October 4, 1957 in Japan on an Air Force Base. He is the son of the late Thomas and Mildred Reeves Cotton. As a young boy he moved often from one Air Force Base to another before beginning school in Irving, Texas. He eventually ended up in Quinlan where he finished High School. William married the former Miss Ruth Ann Casbeer on July 30, 1992 and they made their home in Quinlan. He was a mechanic and enjoyed working on motors all of his life. He worked as a technician at the Race Track where he helped out many people with their motors. William loved fishing with his sons and he adored his daughter, she was his world. He really cherished his grandkids and enjoyed watching his grandson play football. He was a caring man who took everyone’s problems as his own.

He is loved and will be missed by his wife Ruth Ann Cotton; son William Thomas Cotton, daughters Brenda Lynn Cotton Hall & Chris, Leanne Cotton, Kimberly Shields; brothers Edwin Earl Cotton & Charlotte of Quinlan, Roy Cotton & Karen of Las Vegas, NV, Jerry Cotton of Allen; grandkids Little Chris, Thomas Duane, Devon, Damian, Katy & Natalie and numerous other family & friends.
