Virgil Hugh Fouse, 86, of Rockwall went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 in Diboll. Funeral services celebrating Virgil’s life will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, January 12, 2018 at Ingram Funeral Home in Quinlan with Pastor Les Joslin officiating, Interment will follow at Forest Park Cemetery in Greenville. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time.

Pallbearers will be Robert Boren, Dallas Fouse, Timothy Fouse, Gregory Fouse, Charles Alaniz, Gabe Guzman, Gerry Boren and Ivan Ratliff.

Virgil was born on April 11, 1931 in Ridgeway, Texas. He is the son of the late John Washington Fouse and Emma LeOra Chase Fouse. He was raised and educated in Cumby and Sulphur Springs areas. He entered the United States Army and honorably served our country during the Korean Conflict. He married the former Miss Margrette Evelyn Tanton on July 4, 1953 in Greenville and in 1960 they moved to their farm in Rockwall. Margrette preceded him in death on December 14, 2016, he is also preceded in death by his daughter Angela Dawn Fouse on January 30, 1962 and great-granddaughter Luisita Fouse. Virgil was a Baptist deacon for over 20 years and was a member of Community Baptist Church in Royse City. He worked as an industrial machine maintenance and fabricator for over 45 years in Rockwall, Garland, and Terrell before his retirement in 1995. He enjoyed his farm and taking care of his cows and gardens. Sharing fellowship with his brothers in Christ at his Bible Studies (barn burnings) brought many hours of enjoyment and enrichment to Virgil. He loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren dearly, they were a joy to him and always made him proud and brought a smile to his face.

He is loved and will be missed by his sons Dru Fouse and wife Wanda of Quinlan, Alan Fouse and wife Sandra of Rockwall, Steven Fouse and wife Deanna of Rowlett; daughter Marcie Boren and husband Gerry of Diboll; grandchildren Dawn, Gregory, Timothy, Robert, Dallas, Ashley, Laurel, Tiffany; Ariel and 9 great-grandchildren
