Susan Jo Ray Tarno, 66, of Mineola went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, November 18, 2017 in Mineola. Memorial services celebrating Susan’s life will be held at 1:30 P.M. on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at Round Pen Cowboy Church in Terrell with Pastors Paula and Toby Abbott officiating.

Susan was born on June 28, 1951 in Sherman, Texas. She is the daughter of Martha Jane Snyder Ray and the late John Telus Ray. She was raised in Hobbs, New Mexico and she graduated from Lovington High School in Lovington, New Mexico. Susan married Oscar David Tarno on September 20, 1969 and they made their home in Mesquite, Texas until his passing on June 6, 2002. She enjoyed shopping, singing and having fun. She loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.

She is loved and will be missed by her mother Martha Ray of Louisiana; son John Tarno and wife Kelee of Quitman; daughter Stacy Nall of Royse City; sisters Twili Mitchell and husband Rob of Illinois, Jane Ray and husband Terry Null of Alabama, Jeannie Barbee of Louisiana; 5 grandchildren Breanna Nall, McKayle Nall, David Ray Tarno, Ashlynn Tarno and Joisalyn Tarno.
