Sunny Sue (Rice) Manning

Sunny “Sue” Manning, 75, of Greenville went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, December 17, 2018 in Royse City. Funeral services celebrating Sue’s life will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at Ingram Funeral Home in Quinlan with Pastor Joe Mendez officiating. Visitation will be held two hours prior to service. Interment will be at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, December 31, 2018 at DFW National Cemetery in Dallas with Rev. Joyce Pattison officiating.

Serving as pallbearers: Damen Sneed, Jesse Murphy, Richard Murphy, Stephen Murphy, Dustin Thomsen, Jason Bargerhuff and Cody Bargerhuff.

Sue was born on January 13, 1943 in Nocona, Texas. She is the daughter of the late Chester and Flora Spears Rice. She was raised and educated in west Texas. She married Jesse Sneed and they had a daughter. She became an LVN and enjoyed nursing and was very compassionate and skilled in nursing. She never stopped reading and learning new material for her profession. In June 1987 Sue found love again when she married William Malcom Manning and they were very happy until his passing on October 19, 2012. She was also preceded in death by her grandparents John and Dora Spears, brothers Sylvester Wylie Rice and Wayne Rice. Sue loved Jesus, nursing, and dressing with a bold & sassy flare. She had a quirky personality and enjoyed leaving price tags on gifts. She never met a stranger and adored her grandkids & great-grandkids. She spent the last 2 years of her life in a nursing home where she kept them on their toes! Sue was loved by the staff and she became a favorite resident.

She is loved and will be missed by her daughter Tammy Holland & husband Darrell of Greenville; grandchildren Heather Holland & Jason Bargerhuff of Seven Points, Kadye Thomsen & Dustin Thomsen of Campbell, James Darrell Chase Holland of Greenville; great-grandchildren Cody Bargerhuff, Courteney Bargerhuff, Ckyden Bargerhuff, Ckyson Bargerhuff, Ckylie Bargerhuff, Ckyla Bargerhuff and Kreed Thomsen; step-children Vickie Urquhart & Russell Fleming, Kalley & Michael Farmer, Michael & Deena Manning, Malcom & Sarah Manning, Lennie & Richard Miller and all of their families.
