Shirley Griswold Obituary

Shirley Darlene Griswold, 71, of Wills Point went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, March 11, 2019 in Canton. Memorial services celebrating Shirley’s life will be held at 9:30 AM on Saturday, March 16, 2019 at Ingram Funeral Home with Judge Hershey Barnett officiating.

Shirley was born on December 15, 1947 in Dallas, Texas. She is the daughter of the late George Franklin & Dorothy Carrol Wilson. She was raised in many areas of Texas and she graduated from Center High School in Center, Texas. Shirley married William Lee Griswold in 1971 and they made their home in Wills Point. After William’s passing she lived with her son, his wife and her grandchildren. Shirley was also preceded in death by her son. She was a very caring and giving person, she would give you her last dollar not knowing where her next dollar would come from. She loved watching and feeding birds, she even had a bird feeder outside her window at the nursing home. She was an avid viewer of NCIS on television, this was about all she watched on television. Playing with her grandchildren brought much joy to her life. She also enjoyed coloring and working on crafts.

She is loved and will be missed by her brother Grady Wilson & Marsha Poteet of Wills Point; grandchildren Kollin Griswold of Edgewood, Dillon Griswold of Edgewood; nephew Gerrod Wilson of Wills Point; niece April Holt of Houston and daughter-in-law Kelly Griswold of Edgewood.

Friends and family have shared their relationship to show their support.
