Ruth (Self) Pearson

Ruth Marie Self Pearson, 65, of East Tawakoni went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, August 6, 2019 in Burleson. Memorial services celebrating Ruth’s life will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, August 10, 2019 at Ingram Funeral Home in Quinlan with Pastor Jeff Jackson officiating.

Ruth was born on July 27, 1954 in Dallas, Texas. She was the daughter of the late Lloyd and Gladys Riley McKnight. She was raised in the Cockrell Hill suburb of Dallas and attended Sunset High School. She aspired to be a Marine Biologist but, set aside those plans to start a family. She worked as a receptionist at Logo Ltd for 20 years before her recent retirement. Ruth has gone on to join her fiancé Rocky and her sister Gail Burt in Heaven. She never missed ‘Shark Week’ on television and loved watching movies. Reading Sci-fi and taking road trips were also favorite past times. She always enjoyed spending time with her kids, grandkids and her beloved dog Poppy. Ruth had recently found her biological Father’s family; brothers and sisters that she was very excited to get to meet.

She is loved and will be missed by her sons Joey & Brianna of Royse City; Robert & Audrey of East Tawakoni; daughter Tonya Livingston and husband Brian of Clarksville, TN; sister Billie Burt of TN; 9 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren and her dear nieces Joyce and Trisha.
