Ronald Cullen Obituary

Ronald Joe Cullen, 70, of Quinlan went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at his home. Memorial Services Celebrating Ronald’s life will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, March 15, 2019 at Ingram Funeral Home with Pastor Moore officiating. Interment will be at a later date at DFW National Cemetery in Dallas with presentation of Honors. There will be a gathering of friends and family on Thursday, March 14, 2019 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Ingram Funeral Home.

Ronald was born on October 1, 1948 in Dallas, Texas. He is the son of the late George A & Cleta Faye Vick Cullen. He was raised in Dallas and graduated from Mesquite High School. Ronald proudly served his Country as a member of the United States Navy from May 8, 1968 until February 4, 1972. Ronald and June Ann Haney went on their first date on December 10, 1972 and he proposed on New Year’s Eve of the same year! They were married in Garland on March 16, 1973. Ronald was an Electrician by trade having worked at Parkland Hospital, Experian and then Cullen Electric before retiring. They moved to Quinlan in 1979 and were active members of the First United Methodist Church of Quinlan. He loved Texas Rangers Baseball and was an umpire and coach for his son’s baseball teams when they were growing up. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, painting and wood burning. His dogs were very special to him and he dearly loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.

He is loved and will be missed by his wife June; sons Jeffrey Aaron Cullen & wife Leslie Jeanette of Greenville, Ronald Clayton Cullen of Quinlan; brother’s James Coleman Cullen of Tool, John Richard Cullen & wife Cheryl Kay Cullen of Kerens grandchildren Austin Cullen, Addyson Cullen, Payton Cullen & Gwen Faye Cullen; and numerous other family and friends.
