Roland Harvey Osborne III, 68, of Quinlan went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, April 21, 2017 at Faith Temple Baptist Church in Terrell with Pastor Shawn Risinger officiating. Interment immediately follow at Land of Oz Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 P.M. on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at Ingram Funeral Home in Quinlan.

 

Roland was born on September 3, 1948 in Ithaca, New York. He is the son of the late Roland Harvey Osborne II and Dorothy Grace Marie Boeserberg Osborne. He was raised in Columbia Crossroads, Pennsylvania where he graduated from Troy High School, Class of 1966. He proudly served his Country as a member of the United States Army. He graduated from Michigan State University where he earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree. He moved to California where he lived for 14 years and taught at San Fernando High School. Several years later he became involved in Christian Motor Sports Ministries, Chrysler Power Magazine, Christian Motor Sports Illustrated Magazine, National Hemi Owners Association Club, and Mopar Muscle Club. He returned to Pennsylvania then later moved to Oklahoma where he attended and graduated from Rhema Bible School in Oklahoma City, Ok. While in Oklahoma Roland met and married the former Miss Elizabeth Stennett on August 15, 2009. They lived in Plano and later moved to Quinlan, Texas. He loved his Lord and Family above all else. He enjoyed being at the ocean, building motors, driving a tractor and driving Cross Country. He was a member of the local American Legion and local Am-Vets.

 

He is loved and will be missed by his wife Elizabeth Osborne; children Roland Osborne IV and Lisa of Huntington Beach, California, Coleman Osborne and wife Tera of Reston, Virginia, Chrysta Wright of Madison, Wisconsin Jason Watt of Quinlan, Jacob Watt of Quinlan;; 7 grandchildren Melanie, Mary Mason, Jaden, Christian, Brandon, Kyler; sisters Wendi Cook and husband David of Arlington, Texas, Sherry Stottler and husband Robert of Worland, Wyoming; several nieces, nephews and numerous friends.
