Ralph LaRue Watson Sr. 81 of Quinlan went to be with his Lord and Savior Thursday, June 21, 2018 at his residence. A celebration of Ralph’s life will be held 4:00 P.M. Monday, June 25, 2018 at Ingram Funeral Home in Quinlan with Pastor Charlie Nasser officiating. Visitation will be held from 3:00 to 5:00 P.M. Sunday.
Ralph was born June 14, 1937 in Monticello, Mississippi. He was the son of the late Robert Watson and Gertrude Kirkland Watson. He lived on the family farm until he left for the oil fields. In 1962, he moved to Dallas and opened up a service station, later he owned a automotive repair shop until he retired in 2000 to take care of his sick daughter. He then went to work for CTBX Trucking as an operation manager. His main job was to keep John and everyone else in line. He married the former Miss Billie Jo (B J) Wooten on July 12, 1960 and they made their home in Dallas before moving to Lake Tawakoni Community in 1977, she preceded him in death on July 9, 2016. Two daughters also preceded him death Irene Diana Watson in 2001 and Cynthia “Cindy” Sisco in 2009 and brother Bob Watson. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and a Past Worshipful Master of James A. Smith Lodge # 395 in Farmers Branch, Texas. Ralph enjoyed hunting, drag car racing, shooting his gun, playing darts and shooting pool.
He is loved and will be missed by his sons, Ralph Watson Jr. of Quinlan and John Smith & wife Edie of Corsicana. Daughter, Sheryl Sanderson & husband Eric of Quinlan. Grandchildren, Joanna Sisco, James Sisco & wife Brandi, Bobby Watson, Brandon Watson, AnnMarie Gordon, Sheyann Sanderson, Robert & Kristin Watson, Robyn Watson, Racey Watson and Jonnie Smith; great-great grandchildren, Trevin Sisco, Teller Sisco, Gracelyn Sisco and Leighton Sisco.; brothers, Dale & Brenda Jo Watson of New Hebron, Mississippi. and sister Betty Watson King and Jerry of Monticello, Mississippi.
