Pamela Yvonne Emmons, 51, of Cumby, Texas went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, July 24, 2017 in Tyler, Texas. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday August 5th, 2017 at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Cumby with Pastor Jim Moore officiating.
Pamela was born on September 21, 1965 in Vernon, Texas. She is the daughter of Patricia Yvonne Henry Emmons and the late Bobby Joe Emmons. She was raised in Greenville and graduated from Greenville High School class of 1984. She attended the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston where she earned her Associate’s Degree. She worked for MAPA as a billing consultant for a number of years. She traveled throughout the U.S. reconstructing medical billing systems for numerous hospitals and she made many lifelong friends everywhere she went. She went on to work for Orthofix in Lewisville as a medical billing specialist for over 14 years. She taught Sunday school at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Cumby. She loved traveling, scrap booking, music of all genres and her cats Max and Ruby. Most of all she loved her daughter Dezi, her family and God.
She is loved and will be missed by her mother Patricia Emmons of Cumby, daughter Dezi Rodriguez of Cumby; sister Melissa Woods and husband Danny of Cumby; nephew Quintin Kent of Cumby; aunts Minnie Glenn and husband Allen of Great Mills, MD, Brenda McGuire and husband Jay of Josephine, Mary Pollan of Denton; Linda Emmons of Kaufman, uncle Jerry Emmons of Greenville; and numerous cousins that she loved and who loved her.
She was preceded in death by her father, niece Brittany Kent and her aunt Betty Hill as well her grandparents.
