Nelta Joyce (Lewis) Adkisson

Nelta Joyce Adkisson, 68 of Quinlan, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday December 23, 2018 in Greenville. Funeral services celebrating Nelta’s life will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at Ingram Funeral Home in Quinlan with Judge Hershey Barnett officiating. Visitation will be 30 minutes prior to the service.

Nelta was born on February 11, 1950, in Terrell, Texas. She is the daughter of the late Nolan Dee Lewis and Alma Lou Kennemer Lewis. She was a residence of Quinlan most of her life. She attended First Baptist Church of Quinlan and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She took care of the elderly until she got sick herself. She loved people and was very much a people person by nature. She loved her family and enjoyed all children and she never met a stranger.

She is loved and will be missed by her companion in life of 26 years, Bobby Arbuckle; two step-sons, Bobby Joe & Barbara Arbuckle of Ft. Worth and Randy & Heather Stewart; brother, Dr. Charles & Janice Lewis of Pleasanton, TX; sister, Nancy Lewis of Ft. Worth; grandchildren, Ethan, Hailey & Corbin Arbuckle and Elias & John Stewart.
