Monita Lynn Dorrian, 57, of Denison went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 in Kermit. Viewing will be held on Monday, October 9, 2017 from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at Ingram Funeral Home in Quinlan.

Monita was born on October 27, 1959 in Freeport, Texas. She is the daughter of the late Jack Gilbert and Gerldean Nunley Howell. She moved to Quinlan at a young age where she started school. The remainder of her youth she moved between Florida and Texas. After High School she met James Sholars and they began raising their family. They traveled extensively all over the United States with their children. She was also preceded in death by her sister Cindy Truit. She enjoyed crocheting, fishing, coloring pictures, playing in the pool and watching “Law and Order.” She loved spending time with her family and her favorite ‘drink’ Coke and Vodka.

She is loved and will be missed by her sons William Sholars and companion Jennifer Parker of Denison, Ken Sholars and companion Patricia Williams of Pilot Point, Jeremy Dorrian of Little Elm; daughter Bridgett Sholars of Mabank; brother Johnny Gilbert of Quinlan; sisters Debbie McGee of Quinlan, Rhonda Chandler and husband Roger of LaRue, Jessie Gail Howell of Quinlan; grandchildren Benjamin, Matt, Cohen, Kendyll and Destiny.
