Linda Clark Obituary

Linda Kay Smith Clark, 56 of Quinlan went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, February 22, 2018 in St. Pete Beach, Florida. Funeral services celebrating Linda’s life will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, March 1, 2018 at Ingram Funeral Home in Quinlan with Judge Hershey Barnett officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time.

Linda was born on June 24, 1961 in Joliet, Illinois. She is the daughter of Phyllis Smith and the late John Edward Smith. She was raised in Joliet, Illinois where she graduated with honors. She moved to Dallas at an early age.  She worked as a parts manager before becoming a store manager at Chief Auto Parts for several years. She moved to Mesquite where she raised her children. Linda worked at several R.V. dealerships before moving to the Lake Tawakoni area in 2010 with her husband, J.R. She worked for Tawakoni R.V. in West Tawakoni. She was also preceded in death by her brother James Smith in 2001. She enjoyed fishing, cooking and working. She never met a stranger and never missed a day of work or took a day off.

She is loved and will be missed by her husband J.R. Bohnert of Quinlan; mother Phyllis Smith of New Lenox, Illinois; daughters Cecilia Poland of Marion, Ohio, Elizabeth Clark of Lubbock, TX; brothers Robert Smith of Wilmington, Illinois; Edward “Ed” Smith and wife Diana of Wills Point, TX; sister Julie Troutt and husband James of St. Pete Beach, FL, grandson Ethan Poland of Ohio; numerous nieces, nephews and her beloved K-9 Kid “Dippy”. Linda very much loved her family.

Family request in lieu of flowers memorials be made to Vitas Hospice in Greenville, TX because of the wonderful care given to Linda by the staff.
