Jim D. Bartlett, age 56, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 7, 2017, at East Texas Medical Center Tyler surrounded by family.  He was born October 6, 1961, in Clinton, OK, to Daniel Bartlett & Betty Ham-Bartlett. He attended Cache & Indiahoma OK ISD.  He enjoyed 4H club, repairing cars, & showing sheep. Jim loved animals, but especially dogs and horses. There wasn’t a stray dog that Jim didn’t have the heart to save. Jim has worked as a wheat harvester, boat repair, a roofer, & a truck driver. Jim liked the open road. He had just retired from truck driving. Jim preferred country living to city living. He preferred his boots & cowboy hat, than anything a big city could provide. 

He is survived by his 2 daughters Chrystal & Kelly Bartlett, his brother Robert Speigel & sister in law Sandy Speigel, his brother Daniel Bartlett & his partner Lee Riffe, his mother Betty Ham-Poe, his grandchildren, Donny Shelton, Aindrea Como, Guythina Fertitta, his ex-wife Wenona Fuller, a few nieces, cousins, uncles & aunts,  and many friends.  He is preceded in death by his sister Karen Bartlett-Hall and ex-wife Gayla Grooms.
