Janet Yvonne (Perkett) Algood

Janet Yvonne Algood, 67, of West Tawakoni went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, August 3, 2018 in Quinlan. Memorial services celebrating Janet’s life will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at Ingram Funeral Home in Quinlan with Brother Ricky Algood officiating.

Janet was born on December 7, 1950 in French Camp, California. She is the daughter of the late Donnie James Perkett and Audrey Yvonne LaVonne Perkett. She was raised and educated in Stockton, California. Janet met Don Wesley Algood in 1979 and they were married on April 21, 1994 in Hunt County, Texas and they made their home in West Tawakoni. She was also preceded in death by her grandparents Stephen & Nettie Anderson and Fred & Katy Perkett. She worked as a Lens Technician for many years. Janet loved her extended family as if they were her own. She enjoyed gardening, cat fishing and most of all spending time with her grandchildren.

She is loved and will be missed by her husband Don Algood; sons Charles & Josie Fortner of Carson City, NV, Don Algood Jr. & Margie of West Tawakoni, TX; daughters Tammy Algood of Boston, MA, Cassandra & Kirby Gore of Wichita Falls, TX; siblings Rodney , Allen, Debra, Leslie, Denise, Linda, and Jenny; Grandchildren Joey, Amber, Max, Zach, Chris, Nick, Corey, Jessica, Frank, Amanda, Charles, Mario, Greg, Jazzmin, Hope, Juanita, McKayla, Brittney, Michael, Matthew and 32 Great-Grandchildren; and loving extended family Brenda & Wes, Linda, Retha, Marie, Cecil, Chris & Hermon, Ronnie, Lucy, Ricky, Cathy, Steve, Anne, Dennis, Sue and Jerry.
