James Silvester Bowen

James Silvester Bowen passed away August 15, 2019 in Greenville, Texas at the age of 89. Graveside services will be held at 9:00 A.M. Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at Prairie Valley Cemetery with Brother Eddie Singleton officiating.

James was born on March 9, 1930. James is predeceased by parents, James Walker Bowen and Martha Almon Bowenand siblings Clyde Bowen, Ruby Bowen Fox and Bessie Bowen Kuhn and a son Christopher Bowen.

James is survived by sons James (Mike) Bowen and wife Vickie of Wolfe City and John Bowen and wife Stacy of Lone Oak Grandchildren Chris Bowen and wife Jennifer and Sarah Bowen Great-grandchildren Kaden Bowen and Morgan Bowen and several nieces and nephews.

James was a hard working man with a gentle spirit.  He never showed his anger or dislike towards anyone.  He worked for Lone Star Gas from 1952-1989.  Since then his passion was buying and selling “junk”.
