Jacqueline "Jackie" Edgett Obituary

Jacqueline (Jackie) Farris Brooks Edgett, of Rockwall, TX, went to be with her Lord and Savior on April 10, 2018 at the age of 76.  Jackie was born June 30, 1941 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Jack and Lela (Pinkston) Brooks. She married the love of her life, Norman Edgett, on June 13, 1975. He passed away shortly after they celebrated 40 years of marriage. She has missed him greatly every day since and is surely thrilled to be reunited with him in Heaven.

Jackie had a compassionate spirit and was kind and generous to everyone she met. She lived her life with the purpose of lifting others up and encouraging them. Jackie loved family and her most cherished memories revolved around family gatherings, especially meal times.  Jackie had a strong relationship with the Lord and after she became home bound, she spent every Sunday listening and taking notes on multiple televised church services. She had a thirst for knowledge and her favorite pastime was working crossword puzzles in the newspaper.

Jackie will be dearly missed by her daughter Brooke Edwards and husband Jimmy, Stepdaughter Dana Cardenas and husband Steven, Stepson Rick Edgett and wife Cindy, and Stepdaughter Diana Massey; grandchildren Logan Edwards, Colton Edwards, Kinley Edwards, Richard Edgett and wife Stephanie, Jacob Edgett, Ryan Edgett, Tabitha Theriot and husband Brian, Michael Koerth, Tony Peevyhouse and wife Beth, and Jason Mann; five great grandchildren and numerous other family members and friends. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Jan Outler and husband Don Outler, her brother Timothy Brooks and wife Glenda, and her niece Tammi Anders.

A private memorial will be held for family and close friends on April 21st in Rockwall, TX.
