Glenn Alfred Garner, 71, of Quinlan went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at his residence. Funeral services celebrating Glenn’s life will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, October 6, 2017 at Ingram Funeral Home with Chaplain Richard Moore officiating. Masonic graveside service will be immediately following at Small Cemetery in Edgewood. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 P.M. on Thursday, October 5, 2017.

Glenn was born on January 1, 1946 in Edgewood, Texas. He is the son of the late Wilborn Leon Garner and Erma Edwards Garner. He was raised and educated in Edgewood. Following his graduation from Edgewood High School he went work at Raytheon which is now L3 until his retirement in 2011. Glenn was married to Susan Garner and they made their home in Quinlan. He was a Master Mason and was a member of Lodge #422 in Wills Point and he also belong to the NRA. He was also preceded in death by his brother Sidney Allen Garner. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, his dogs and being outside. He had fun playing the Slot machines and his guitar. Glenn loved spending time with his family and friends.

He is loved and will be missed by his wife Susan Garner of Quinlan; sons Stanley Wilborne Garner and wife Roxana of Lewisville, Joey Glenn Garner and wife Juli of Emory, Larry Eathen Hale and wife Holly Ann of Mesquite; daughter Cherry Evelyn Alexander and husband Philip of Emory, brother Bobby Gene Garner of Quinlan; sisters Judy Hipp and husband Leon of Wills Point, Wanda White and husband Forrest of Wills Point, Franceen Dee Parker and husband James of Terrell; 18 grandchildren and dogs Dillenger, Trebbie and Chiqueta.

Family requests in lieu of flowers that donations be made to Vitas Hospice in Greenville.
