Frances Pauline “Mema” Marvel, 86, of Quinlan, went to be with her Lord and Savior Thursday, August 3, 2017, in Rockwall. Funeral services celebrating Mema’s life will be held Tuesday, August 8, 2017, at Ingram Funeral Home with Pastor Ronnie Nalls and Pastor Howard Summers officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Monday.

Pauline was born December 27, 1930, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She is the daughter of the late Christopher and Beulah Cope Pruitt. She was raised and educated in Oklahoma. She married Mr. Dell Morrow in 1947 and he preceded her in death in 1956. In 1966, she moved to Richardson, Texas. In 1972 she married John Marvel and they made their home in Garland.  He preceded her in death in 1984. She lived in Sachse for 12 years before moving to Quinlan. Pauline became an ordained minister in the 1970’s and had preached in 2 different churches and several other places for many years. Mema loved the Lord and talking about him, she enjoyed playing her guitar, singing, traveling, fishing, making you laugh, recording everything on her cassette player and drinking her black coffee.

She is loved and will be missed by her daughters, Shirley Frasier and husband Dan of Garland, Texas; Charlotte Cotton and husband Eddie of Quinlan, Texas; son, Michael Morrow and wife Laura of Alvarado, Texas; granddaughters Tina, Misty, Stephanie, Tammy, Erika and Alyssa; grandsons Shane, Jerry, and Chris; 21 great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren. 

Pauline came from a large family of 10 brothers and sisters.  She was the second oldest.  She leaves behind her sisters, Christine Janzen of Wichita, Kansas; Thelma Summers and husband Howard of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and brothers Earl Pruitt of Point, Texas;  Bobby Pruitt of Wichita, Kansas; Johnny Pruitt and wife Karolyn of Nevada, Texas and  Jerry Pruitt of Republic, Missouri.  She is preceded in death by her brothers Sam Pruitt, Jim Pruitt, Roy Pruitt and sister Lorene Turley.
