Doyle Hayse Cranford Sr., 87, of Quinlan went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, November 4, 2018 at his residence. Funeral services celebrating Doyle’s life will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at Quinlan Church of Christ with Greg Guthrie officiating. Interment will follow at 2:45 P.M. at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens in Irving. Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 P.M. on Friday, November 9, 2018 at Ingram Funeral Home in Quinlan.
Doyle was born on August 5, 1931 in Lometa, Texas. He is the son of the late Orval and Fay Shipp Cranford. He was raised and educated in Grand Prairie, Texas. Doyle married Ruth Virginia Small on June 29, 1949 and they made their home in Irving. After raising their family in Irving they moved to Quinlan where they enjoyed farm and ranch life until Ruth's passing on May 25, 1969. His career was very vast as a general contractor in the commercial field. He found love a second time and married Paula Frances Poston Cranford on February 4, 1972 and were happy until her passing on March 22, 2011. He loved ranching and claimed his cattle took the place of his grown children. Farming and farm equipment were also hobbies. He was a member of the Quinlan Church of Christ.
He is loved and will be missed by his sons Doyle H. Cranford Jr., Glen W. Cranford; daughters Michelle Greer, Danielle Deal, Rhonda Moody, Robin Cranford; sisters LaNita Ferguson, Melba Guthrie; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
