Donna Carlene Nalls

Donna Carlene Nalls, 67 of Quinlan, Texas passed away peacefully Tuesday evening, October 22, 2019 at Vitas Hospice Unit at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center of Carrollton surrounded by her daughters, Brandy and Vicky, and her granddaughter, Jamie. She was born February 1, 1952 in Tarrant County, Texas to parents Ocie Elliott Holleman and Virgie Lee Dunn.

Carlene is preceded in death by her husband, Ronnie Leon Nalls, her parents and two brothers, Ocie Norman Holleman and Michael Wayne Holleman.  She is survived by her daughters Brandy Larson and husband Lochwood, Vicky Mobley and husband Kenny, Tina Khwaja and husband Shayan; grandchildren Ryan, Jamie, Conrad, McKenna, Ethan, Adam and Zaki; siblings Sherri, Carolyn, Stormy, Jeniece and Sandy along with many other family members and friends.

She held many jobs throughout her life from working at Olan Mills as a young woman to becoming a lab technician at Fiberite in Greenville, Texas. Her love of photography led her to later own and operate a glamour shot portrait business. In her later years, she and her husband opened Amazing Grace Full Gospel Church giving her new purpose, where she proudly served as a bible teacher and pastor’s wife.

Carlene loved being Ronnie’s wife, an adventure in itself! She treasured her three daughters and her grandchildren. She absolutely loved traveling, especially, taking long road trips because she enjoyed the journey just as much as the destination and capturing it all on film.  She relished life’s simple pleasures - spending time with her family and friends, a good meal, playing games, and watching her soaps! She described many of her friendships as, “They’re family!” She will be missed by many.

Carlene’s Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, November 23, 2019 at Ingram Funeral Home in Quinlan.
