Donald “Kevin” Ashcraft, 55, of Mesquite went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, June 18, 2017 in Dallas after a 5 year battle with cancer. Memorial services celebrating Kevin’s life will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, June 22, 2017 at Tripp Baptist Church in Sunnyvale with Pastor Billy Kelley.

Kevin was born on May 6, 1962 in Dallas. He is the son of James Leonard Ashcraft Sr. and the late Donna Sue McGowen Ashcraft. He spent his youth in Myrtle Springs where his parents owned and operated a gas station and J&D Grocery. He graduated from Wills Point High School. Kevin met and married Delores Green on January 8, 1985 and they made their home in Mesquite. He worked as a shop foreman in the refrigeration industry. He was also preceded in death by his infant brother James Leonard Ashcraft Jr., grandfathers Donald McGowen and William Earl Harvill. His nickname was “Crash” which came from his many times of crashing cars. He enjoyed paintball, shot guns and fishing trips with his gaming friends. He also liked going to the casino with his wife. Spending time with his beloved dogs Maxwell and Benson were another of his favorite things to do.

He is loved and will be missed by his wife Delores Green Ashcraft; son Joshua Ashcraft and wife Amy; daughter Chelsea Kelley and husband Wesley; father James Ashcraft and wife Barbara; grandmother Erma Sue Rand Harvill; brother James Eric Ashcraft; best friend/brother James Watts and wife, Linda, aunts Brenda Hammond and husband Bruce, Tonya Benham and husband Ronnie, Julie Henderson and husband Johnny; many in laws, nieces, nephews and many many friends.
