Cynthia Ann York Lynch, 57, of West Tawakoni went to be with her Lord and Savior on December 30, 2017 at her residence. Funeral services celebrating Cynthia’s life will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at Ingram Funeral Home in Quinlan with Judge Hershey Barnett officiating. Interment will be immediately following at Hart Cemetery in Cash. Visitation will be held from noon to service time.

Cynthia was born on November 26, 1960 in Dallas, Texas. She is the daughter of the late Alton Lee York and Eddie May Swann York. She was raised in Dallas and graduated from Justin F. Kimball High School at the age of 16. She attended Cedar Valley Jr. College until she turned 18, when she transferred to Stephen F. Austin State University. Social Work was her major as she earned her Bachelor’s degree while working summers and holidays for Lincoln Properties Corp. and she continued working for them until she was 23. She moved to Cedar Hill in the ‘80’s and was working in property management for multi-family and retirement properties and earning her CPM degree. This company had various locations throughout the United States with over 200 employees that Cynthia was in charge of as she worked her way up to Vice President of the company. She moved to Lake Tawakoni in 2004 where she has remained.

She made many dear friendships that went as far back as her early school years. In addition to her parents Cynthia was preceded in death by her niece Michelle Thompson. She was a life member of the VFW post 2559 in West Tawakoni, volunteered at various Veterans Associations and even worked at the V.A. as a Candy Stripper while in high school. She loved dancing, camping, traveling, water sports and scuba diving. Family meant everything to her and she made many memories with them especially with her children Drake and Nikki.

She is loved and will be missed by Michael C. Lynch; her son Drake Thompson and fiancé Aaron of West Tawakoni; daughter Cynthia Nicole Thompson of Benbrook; brother Randal Lee York of Point; sister Sharon Younger and husband Stanley of West Tawakoni; grandson Luke Ott of Benbrook; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews; cousins and friends.
