Charlie Lee Neal

Charles Lee Neal, 70, of West Tawakoni went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at his home. Funeral service’s celebrating Charles’ life will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, August 27, 2018 at Ingram Funeral Home in Quinlan.

Charlie was born on August 18, 1948 in Grapevine, Texas. He is the son of the late Robert Neal and Ora Jonas Neal. Charlie proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army during the Vietnam War and served between 1966 & 1969. Charlie met the love of his life Barbara Sanders and they were married on June 4, 1983 in Coppell. They made their home in Quinlan where they both retired. He was also preceded in death by his sister Pat and brothers David and James.

He enjoyed playing Texas Hold ‘Em, garage sellin, carpentry and watching old westerns. He loved to fish, hunt, camp and spend time with family. His greatest hobby was spending time with his wife, kids and grand kids. Charlie was an amazing person, a loving husband, great father, wonderful grandfather. Everyone who knew him loved and adored him. He was a family man and always enjoyed being with them. He never had a problem spoiling his grand kids rotten. He was a joke-ster and loved having a good time. Charlie was a hard worker and never missed a day of work. He loved playing poker and teaching the kids(he called it teaching, but it was hustling).

He is loved and will be missed by his wife Barbara; children Cody & Patricia of Quinlan, David & Tonya of Washington, PA, Gary & Gina of Duncan, OK, Henry & Dan of Pernell, OK, Zack & Tonya of Talahena, OK, Brandie & Steven of Quinlan, Marquitta & Rick of Duncan, OK; 25 Grandkids; 15 Great Grandkids; brothers Gary & wife Belinda of Lake Fork, Harold of Coppell; several nieces & nephews that he loved like his own kids.

He will be missed by many and forgotten by none
