Billy Forrest Greer

Billy Forrest Greer, 83, of Greenville went to be with his Lord and Savior on July 21, 2018 at his residence. Funeral services celebrating Billy’s life will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, July 27, 2018 at Ingram Funeral Home in Quinlan with Judge Hershey Barnett officiating. Interment will be immediately following at Memoryland Memorial Park in Greenville. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 P.M. on Thursday, July 26, 2018.

Billy was born on December 26, 1934 in Greenville, Texas. He was raised and educated in Hunt County, Texas. He was one of eight children born to the late G.D. Green & Bea McClure Greer. He worked for Coca-Cola in Greenville for 12 years before moving to Dallas where he worked as a painter for the next 15 years. In the 1990’s he moved to Quinlan where he owned and operated ‘Bill’s Used Furniture Store.’ He moved to Greenville in 2006 and opened another used furniture store. Billy was also preceded in death by his son Billy Don Greer in 2004; 1 brother and 3 sisters. He enjoyed working and looking for furniture to sell.

He is loved and will be missed by his wife Carolyn Greer of Greenville; step-son Steve Foote of Greenville; step-granddaughter Natelle Wolf of Mesquite; brothers Hubert Greer of Quinlan, Johnny Greer and wife Diane of Commerce; sister Dixie George of Campbell; several nieces & nephews.
