Billy Attaway Obituary

Billy Bob Attaway, 33, of Quinlan went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, February 17, 2018 in Terrell. Funeral services celebrating Billy’s life will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, February 23, 2018 at Ridin High Cowboy Church in Union Valley with Kenny Stone officiating. Interment will be immediately following at Hooker Cemetery in Rains County. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 P.M. on Thursday, February 22, 2018 at Ingram Funeral Home in Quinlan.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Chris Burg, B.J. Carter, Texas Cowart, Hunter Carter, Roy Barber, Bryce Barber, Cody Neal, Landon Helton, Ivan Solis, Jose Talonia, Terry Helton, Blake Johnson and Landon Hoff. Honorary Pallbearers will be QSA 2nd & 3rd grade Panthers Basketball Team.

Billy was born on August 25, 1984 in Wylie, Texas. He is the son of Sherrye Attaway. He was raised in Quinlan and graduated from Ford High School in 2002 and later attended Tarleton State University. He honorably served his country as a member of the United States Air Force. Billy married the former Miss Amanda Frazier on September 15, 2007. He worked for the Hunt County Sheriff’s Department as a Corrections Officer. He was preceded in death by his grandmother Sheila Rogers Attaway, uncle Billy C. Attaway and aunt Jean Attaway LaRue. Billy was a loving husband and father who spent countless hours with his sons and family. He devoted much of his time to coaching little league basketball, baseball and football and being a role model to his sons and many other young men. He was an avid outdoorsman, loved contributing to his community and enjoyed spending time working with livestock. Billy’s loving heart was always with his family and he will continue to watch over them thru eternity.

He is loved and will be missed by his loving wife Amanda; parents Sherrye Attaway Burg of Quinlan; sons Garrett Davis of Quinlan, Eli Attaway of Quinlan; brothers Chris Burg and wife Felicia of Lake Buchanan Dam, Texas Cowart of Quinlan, Dwayne Cowart Jr. of Quinlan; sister Lisa Melton of Quinlan; grandparents Bobby Attaway Sr. of Lone Oak, father-in-law Tim Frazier and wife Glenda of Quinlan, mother-in-law Lucinda Johnson of Arizona, grandparents-in-law Virgil Hurley and wife Aletta of Quinlan, brother-in-laws Stevie Frazier of Quinlan, Jason Frazier and wife Amanda of Lake Whitney and Kevin Palin and wife Sara of East Tawakoni, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many special friends.
