James Adams Obituary

James Calbert Adams, age 80, of Terrell, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, April 5, 2024. A Celebration of his life will be held at 12:00pm on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at Ingram Funeral Home in Quinlan. A visitation will be held at 11:00am prior to the service.

James Calbert Adams was born on July 2, 1943, in Dallas, Texas to the Late Mr. Rupert Haskell Adams and Betty Maurine Garrison Adams. James worked most of his life in the construction and crane industry. He was an exceptionally talented welder and electrician. He worked for OMI Cranes in Royse City until his retirement in 2010. He Loved working with metal and tinkering around with old cars. When James wasn't spending time with grandchildren, he enjoyed going to area swap meets and stock shows. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his sister, Patricia Bowdin in February of 1983.

He is greatly Loved and will be dearly missed by his son, Larry Adams and wife Monica of Fort Worth; daughter, Susan Gibson and husband Jason of Wills Point; brother, Kenneth Adams an  wife Lorie of Quinlan; sisters, Sharon Zandt of Waxahachie and Jean Herrington and husband Larry of Mineola; grandchildren, Bud Adams and wife Jamie of Quinlan; Casey Adams and wife Larissa of Elmo; Morgan Dontis and husband James of Las Vegas; Maegan Gibson of Quinlan; Jayce Gibson and wife Morgan of Terrell; and Sara Coble of Fort Worth; great grandchildren, Abby Arnold, Libby Adams, Shelby Adams, Jason Dontis, Addison Dontis, Stephen Adams, and Jameson Gibson.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of CenterWell Home Health of Greenville for their wonderful compassion and care.
