Elsie Darisse Obituary

Elsie Florence Lynn Darisse, age 88, of Campbell, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, April 22, 2024. A celebration of her life will be held at 11:00A.M. Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at Ingram Funeral Home in Quinlan with Jim Starr officiating. A visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service.

Elsie Florence Lynn was born on August 27, 1935, in Anadarko, Oklahoma to the late Mr. Fred H. Lynn and Ethel Jeanita Holdridge. She married Mr. Roger Eugene Darisse on October 23, 1948, in Anadarko, Oklahoma and they moved to Texas shortly after. Elsie was a leader for the VFW women's auxiliary. She also enjoyed spending time with friends at the Greenville Senior Center. She was a simple woman that enjoyed simple things like a nice quiet dinner at El Fenix and a bourbon and coke at the end of a long day. She enjoyed going to casinos, Lighthouses and was an avid Texas Rangers fan. Elsie was a hairdresser by trade but her talents in the beauty industry allowed the opportunity to become an instructor for cosmetology training schools in Garland and Greenville. She retired from hairdressing in 2000. Roger preceded her in death in 2009. She was also preceded in death by her parents, and two sons, Roger Darisse, and Keith Ray Darisse in 2015 and sisters, Irene Lawrence on July 9, 2004, and Faye Lynn Durr. Elsie adored being a grandmother and taking her grandchildren on vacations throughout the years. She was a wonderfully generous lady that enjoyed helping others. Her beautiful legacy of kindness and compassion will continue through her much loved grandbabies.

She is greatly loved and will be dearly missed by her son, John Darisse and wife Teresa of Campbell and stepson, Monty Chambliss; grandchildren, Garett Darisse, Jenny Marie Darissa, Jessie Mills, Kristy Vines, Lynzee Perez, Melissa Alcala, Tabitha Belcher, Stephanie Belcher and Alexandria Kalldin, Danielle Darisse, Saylorah Phillips, Quinlan Shumate, and Isaiah; great grandchildren, Shay, Cory, Blake, Cash, Jaylee, Isabel, Jacob, Cain, Lucas, Liberty, Leah, Jordan, Sebastian, Jessica, Zaylee, Neveah, Heavenly, Jeremiah, Seven, November, Isaiah, Isabella, Remmie, Ellie Rose, and Romeo; and daughter-in law, Shelia Darisse of East Tawakoni.
