William “Boo” Blake Sr. 75 of Terrell went to be with his Lord and Savior Saturday, August 27, 2016 in Rowlett. Funeral services celebrating Boo’s life will be held at 10 A.M. Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at Ingram Funeral Home in Quinlan with Pastor Travis Tate officiating, burial will follow at Hart Cemetery near Cash. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to services.
Mr. Blake was born September 29, 1940 in Bedeville, Arkansas. He is the son of the late Eldridge Frank Blake and Audie Bell Smith Blake. He was raised and attended school in Dallas. He is also preceded in death by his sister, Shirley Snapka. He met the love of his life at a church gathering, Miss Pat McKenzie and they married on June 6, 1959. They made their home in Dallas before moving to rural Kaufman County in 1981. Boo worked as an exhaust and muffler mechanic all his life, he was the former owner and operator of Discount Muffler in Pleasant Grove for many years.
Boo was an avid fan of horse racing, he enjoyed playing golf and slot machines.
He is loved and will be missed by his loving wife of 58 years Pat. Son, William “Dusty” Blake Jr. & wife Shandel of Terrell. Daughter, Tracie Diane Beckett of Dallas. Grandchildren, Willie, Randy, Cody, Shane, Madison and Eli. Great-Grandchildren, Breanna, Tristan, Hendricks and Calvin. Brothers, Dan Blake & wife Brenda of Justin, Texas, David Blake & wife Janet of Elmo and Jeff Blake of Frisco. Several nieces and nephews.
