Thomas Ray Robinson

October 4, 1955 ~ February 7, 2017 (age 61) 61 Years Old

Thomas Ray Robinson, age 61 of Elmo, Texas went peacefully to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on February 7, 2017 at his home surrounded by his wife and children. A memorial will be held at 1:00 pm. on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at Oak Grove Baptist Church, located at 11243 C.R. 352 Terrell, Texas 75160, with Pastor West officiating.

Tommy was born October 4, 1955 in Dallas, Texas. He is the son of the late Vester Robinson, and Jane Fleming Robinson. He was raised and educated in Combine, Texas, and Crandall Texas. Tommy graduated from Crandall High School in 1974. He was the president of his senior class which consisted of seventeen graduates. He also earned a Citizenship Award his senior year. He was employed by HCL America as a network engineer, and consultant.

Tommy is survived by his wife of 15 years, Teresa L. Robinson of Mabank, Texas. He is also survived by his son Thomas Joseph Robinson and wife Rachel Joy Robinson of Saginaw, his son Matthew Scott Anderson of Elmo, his daughter Haley Elizabeth Cook and husband Robert Dean Cook of Weatherford, and his son Taylor Robinson, who is a sophomore at Wills Point High School.

Tommy loved being with his family, and friends. He enjoyed playing his guitar, and singing classic country songs, especially when friends would gather on the front porch to listen, or to chime in when possible. He also played the piano, banjo, mandolin, and tried learning the fiddle, sometimes even practicing at five o'clock in the morning. Tommy loved building things. Whether it was a dog house, a chicken coop, which was the Mount Olympus of all chicken coops, a work shop, a two story cabin just for the kids to play in, or a table made out of a tree stump, he could built it. He never thought small, only big. He was a very talented man.

There isn’t anywhere Tommy went that he did not make a friend. He touched the lives of everyone who knew him. He will be loved, and missed by all. Please don’t be discouraged, we will all see him again someday, through Jesus Christ.
