Scottie Ann Simmons, age 69, passed away on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at Sunny Springs Nursing Home in Sulpher Springs, TX. She was born in Mobile, Alabama on January 12, 1948 to Robert and Daphne (Darling) Smith and was the third oldest of seven children. Her family traveled and moved a lot due to her Father's service in the Navy. She spent most of her childhood in Barstow, California in the Mojave Desert. In her teen years they moved to Washington State where she lived until her early twenties. She then moved to Texas where she met her husband Bobby Simmons. They moved between Oklahoma and Texas before finally settling in Lone Oak, TX.

Scottie owned her own business for 20 yrs in New Construction Cleaning. She nourished the people around her with love, faith, and music. She had a passion for the Indian culture and was a devoted believer in the Lord. Scottie dedicated her life to her children, grandchildren, and had a love for animals with a dream of raising horses. 

She was preceded in death by her father Robert Norman Smith, mother Daphne Eileen Smith, brother Stephen Smith, husband Bobby Simmons, and granddaughter Kasie Drake. Survived by her siblings Rodney Smith, Victoria Smith, Kent Smith, Kirk Smith, and Cindy Hanson. Children Charlotte Fraser, Shawn Simmons, Tory McCallum, Shannon Simmons, and Joshua Simmons.

Grandchildren Sunni, Olivia, Joseph, Shaye, Katelyn, Joe, Andrew, Cameron, Adrien, and Alex. Great grandchildren Dracy’Ana, Toni.

Her memorial service will be held January 20, 2018 at the Assembly of God in Lone Oak, Tx. at 2 pm and officiated by Randy Templin. There will be a gathering at the families home after the service for a celebration of life.
