On Friday May 26th, the Lord called Roy Stephen “Steve” Edwards home to join his parents. Steve was born and raised in Springhill, LA. He graduated from the Shreveport-Bossier Culinary Arts Academy in 1979, and then moved to Texas to begin a successful career as a chef and restaurant manager.

If you were daring enough to clean up after him, he could take whatever food you had on hand and turn it into a gourmet masterpiece. Cooking made the people around him happy, and that made him happy. He loved good company and conversation. He loved to laugh and always lived life to its fullest.

In his free time he enjoyed hunting, fishing, building, being with his friends, spending time with his family (especially his daughter and grandkids), playing with/training his border collies, and searching for his next big adventure. He was strong, loyal and passionate and will be missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his father Roy Edwards and his mother Peggy Hudson. He is survived by Mary & James Pace (sister & brother-in-law), Tammy & Shane Walters (daughter & son-in-law), Grayson & Madison Walters (grandkids), Angela Thompson (niece), Scott & Anthony Lemons (nephews), and numerous great nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held at Ingram Funeral Home in Quinlan, TX on Friday June 2nd at 2:00pm.
