Roger John Hudack Sr., 81, of West Tawakoni went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at his residence. Funeral services celebrating Roger’s life will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at Ingram Funeral Home with Pastor Eric Rothe officiating. Interment will be immediately following at Highland Memorial Gardens in Terrell. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 P.M. on Friday, January 5, 2018 at Ingram Funeral Home.

Roger was born May 7, 1936 in Superior, Wisconsin. He is the son of the late Jack and Marie Waint Hudack. He was born and raised in Wisconsin. He honorably served his country as a member of the United States Army. In 1961 he moved to the Dallas, Texas area and worked for “Persian Rug” and later he worked for himself with Carpet. He was very involved with his family and even took his daughter, Roxann on Girl Scout outings including camping. In 1971 Roger met his soon to be wife Lois Van Hoosear and they were married on July 1, 1972. They moved to the West Tawakoni area in 1977. He was involved with the American Legion and after his retirement he became Post Commander for 7 years. He helped with the Food Bank baskets at Christmas, met fallen soldiers at airports, he worked with “Run for the Wall” and would meet soldiers in Terrell and pay for gas and food to help them on their way. He enjoyed cooking, dancing and anything outdoors, hunting, fishing, camping and BBQ’s.

He is loved and will be missed by his wife Lois; sons Roger Hudack and wife Jennifer of Irving, Michael Wayne Buckalew of West Tawakoni, Richard Lee Buckalew of West Tawakoni; daughters Roxann Feeler and husband Edward of Lewisville, Vicki A. Roundtree and husband Joe of Wills Point, Kimberly Derington and husband Joe of Mineral Wells, Kathleen Hutchins and husband Dean of Alba; brother Gregory Hudack and wife Nancy of Wisconsin; sister Mary Lou Roehl and Paul Nehmens of Wisconsin; 18 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Children’s Miracle Network.
