Robert Ray Clewis, 76, of West Tawakoni went to be with his Lord and Savior on November 2, 2017, in Richardson. Graveside services celebrating Robert’s life will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at DFW National Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday November 6, 2017 from 6:00-8:00PM at Ingram Funeral Home.

Robert was born on August 16, 1941 in Lubbock, Texas. He is the son of the late Clarence Ray Clewis and Polly Moore Clewis. He moved to Dallas at an early age. After graduating from Bryan Adams High School high he joined the Navy. Upon his discharged from the Navy he went back to school, met and married Shirley Ann Marlow and they had two children Denise and Michael. In 2005 he reconnected with his high school friend Sandy and they were married September 21, 2006. They enjoyed traveling to Branson every year. L. A. Samples is a dear friend that Robert grew up with, and they remained best buddies throughout the years. He was a quiet man, hardworking, loving husband and father with many loyal friends. He was an avid deer hunter and loved going to his deer lease. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother Joe Clewis.

He is loved and will be missed by his wife Sandy; son Michael Clewis and wife Shelly of Houston; daughter Denise and husband Sean Kelly of Dallas; sister-in-law Becky Clewis of Mesquite; grandchildren Jacinda Clewis and Colin Clewis.
