Paul Eugene Staggs, 78, of Balch Springs went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, October 25, 2016 in Sunnyvale, Texas. Funeral services celebrating Paul’s life will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, October 28, 2016 at Ingram Funeral Home with Pastor Dan Aleman officiating. Interment will follow at Smyrna Union Cemetery in Emory. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 P.M. on Thursday, October 27, 2016.

Serving as Pallbearers Cody Staggs, Mike Decker, Dwaine Decker, Cliff Hukill, Larry Woodall, Gary Woodall and Chuck Jennings Jr. Honorary Pallbearer is Chuck Jennings.

Paul was born on June 8, 1938 in Van Buren, Arkansas. He is the son of the late Edgar Staggs and Nettie Sparkman Staggs. He was raised and educated in the Van Buren, Arkansas. Paul met the former Miss Laura Ann Decker in 1961 in Mesquite. He served as a United States Navy Reservist during the Cubin conflict. He worked as a welder throughout his career. He was also preceded in death by 1 sister and 3 brothers. He loved to hunt, fish and watch the Texas Rangers. Paul loved to help his best friend, Chuck Jennings with his music endeavors and travel. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to all who knew him.

He is loved and will be missed by his wife Laura Staggs of Balch Springs; daughter Melinda Patterson and husband Preston of Mesquite; son Steve Staggs and wife Faye of West Tawakoni; 6 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and Best Friend Chuck Jennings and family.
